A mathematics program review provides a comprehensive look at mathematics teaching and learning in your school or district. The program review begins by collecting data from a variety of sources including classroom observations, achievement data, curriculum documents, focus groups, surveys, and individual interviews with students, parents, teachers, and school and district administrators.
The data are then analyzed using research findings on effective practices in mathematics and reported to stakeholders in written or verbal form. The report will seek to highlight the areas of strength as well as point out what might be done to improve the mathematics learning experience for all students. The findings and recommendations can be used in the development of a school improvement plan for mathematics.
